A new training experience has launched, to give ultimate adventurers a motivating way to keep fit or prepare for their next expedition.
Aurora Adventures is challenging past and new explorers to ‘train like an adventurer,’ through the new Team Aurora Adventure Training sessions.
A 12-week adventure training program will be available through an app, to ensure participants have instant access to challenging work-outs, which can be squeezed into busy schedules.
“We all know how difficult it can be to make time for ourselves, so we wanted to make this program accessible and convenient for everyone,” Aurora Adventures Managing Director, Mary Smith said.
For adventurers who prefer some group motivation, supervised pack sessions will be held each week at Bowen Hills and Mount Coo-tha.
As the name suggests, explorers will be loaded up with weighted packs and encouraged to trek up and down the hills of the two Brisbane suburbs, which have become known to trekkers wanting a taste of the real deal.
“This is a really challenging work-out for anyone who wants to keep fit and healthy and it’s great preparation for any of the Aurora Adventure experiences,” Ms Smith said.
Hour long sessions will he held on Thursday mornings between 6-7am, treks at Mount Coot-tha will run over three hours from 6-9am on Sundays.
The aim of the training programs is to prepare adventurers for upcoming expeditions and to motivate former trekkers and those who dream of an adventure to set themselves new goals.
“It’s surprising how inspired you become, when you are training with someone who is about to embark on an expedition. These sessions are also a really great way to meet other like-minded people,” Ms Smith said.
The supervised pack sessions and 12- week training program app, are available to adventures separately or at the same time.
Aurora Adventures offers charity expeditions, events and experiences that help you change your life and your world at the same time.
